PIZZA HUT COMMERCIAL
I think this was a promo in multiple countries, but for some reason, the only clear video I can find of it is from Pizza Hut Philippines, lol.
They are so silly... I love Leo being like "we shouldn't invite humans down!" and everyone being like "but what about pizza" and him being like "you're right" lmfao. It's also cute how they all clown Mikey... Leo and Donnie throwing random shit at him and Raph mocking him good-naturedly. Boys.
DONNIE PLUSH
I am not much of a plushie collector (my stuffed toy collection: really?) or a merch collector, but I saw the cute little Donnie doll and decided that I needed it, so I ordered it along with the artbook. Here are some photos of him around New York. Hover over the thumbnails for some commentary.

This is concept art of Donnie's workstation in the sewers. They probably Do Not have this since in the movie they are totally just youths + Donnie doesn't seem as much a genius inventor as he is in other iterations, but I cann see this for him in the future!

I like that in comparison to Leo above, Mikey is so chill and unpretentious. He's just a cute boy who sees his nunchuck skills as some fun cool thing he's able to do.

I love the description of Donnie sending a signal, using merch to make other people approach. Literally me too. The phrasing of "Do you want to be my friend?" is also so endearing. Raph is so cute with his 90s fits description too... of course he would like that age of teen movies.

Some cute stickers on Donnie's lptop. I can't recognize any of them really besides the I think Crunchyroll one lol, and maybe they were more meant to be generic-looking anyway? Someone tell me if they recognize anything. But I like the vibe it depicts.

TALES OF THE TMNT
The Mutant Mayhem-verse TV show, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is coming out in Q3 of 2024! The trailer above honestly does not give a lot away, but sets up some intriguing details. Here are some scattered thoughts!
- We learn that lots of people love the turtles – they're FAMOUS. There will probably be some episode about virality. I have no idea where they're going with this, since historically the turts have stayed in the shadows, I believe. This is kind of a big thing, so I wonder how they'll handle it.
- Do they... still go to high school? I get that the Mikey and robot thing is probably in a school bathroom but I guess they don't wear clothes to school anymore lol.
- They have yet to show any human allies besides April, but I saw a preview scene somewhere on Twitter where Raph talks to two humans. I wonder how much of the show will be slice-of-lifey, and how much will be action.
- It looks right now like it's aiming towards a younger audience than Rise.
- I wonder how this and the sequel will fit together. Will the sequel assume the cartoon as part of the canon? Will it incorporate anything from the cartoon? Seems like a lot of thinking involved. I hope there's some thought put into continuity.
It's hard to say what the show will be like based on the promo, but I'm excited for it anyway! I'm not going to get too insane this early, but I welcome all food about this iteration of the turts.

An Italian fruit company (?) called Citrus did a TMNT tie-up and took me the fuck out.
WATERMELON TURTLES. I want to take home the Donnie one and let it sit in my room until it rots.
